Community impact: Turbot Street Gallery – June 2021 to February 2022

With the support from our activation consultants, Reactivate Consulting, the project team have installed a pop-up street gallery on Turbot Street show casing the history of the markets.

Located in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, the temporary outdoor gallery pays homage to Heritage Lane’s prior history as the site of the Brisbane Fruit and Produce Exchange, established in the early 1900s.

The unique activation erected Turbot Street has been conceptualised to share stories of the markets with the community and build anticipation for the completion of the Heritage Lanes.
